Resident animals

In Glorieta, you’ll find our two ambassadors: Bruc and Pinxu — a dog and a cat.

Pinxu has been with us for many years. He was — and still is — the village cat: a survivor, one of those who have seen everything pass by, and to whom we have grown deeply attached. He is now around 12 years old and has left traces of himself across dozens of pages in our guestbooks, as if he, too, wished to have his voice heard.

Bruc is a Bernese Mountain Dog who, quite literally, fell from the sky into our lives. He arrived from Córdoba at barely two months old, and here he has grown. Today, it is impossible not to love him: with his gentle and respectful nature, he brings joy to children and adults alike.

That said, one should be prepared upon arrival: Bruc has little sense of distance. He greets with enthusiasm, and his height allows him to do so at face level. It is his way — direct and sincere — of welcoming you.

And, of course, there are the rest of your hosts: Teresa and Uli. We have been living in Glorieta for nearly eight years now, and the four of us — between dog, cat and ourselves — are the only permanent residents of this little gem of a hamlet.
