Cal Talaia is located in the beautiful village of Glorieta and features three bedrooms with double beds and a bathroom on the first floor, as well as an open-plan ground floor with a living room, dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen, along with an additional toilet.
It also includes an outdoor kitchen and barbecue area, and from May to October you can cool off in our swimming pool. Cal Talaia is full of small details, artworks, and furniture that create a warm and welcoming atmosphere to enjoy with family and friends.
The accommodation is set in a traditional village house that has been fully renovated to offer a warm and welcoming space, enriched by artworks created by us and by friends. Some of the pieces on display are even available for purchase if you like them.
On the ground floor, you will find the kitchen, dining area, and living room in a large open-plan space. The three bedrooms and the bathroom are located on the first floor.
Pets are welcome, although we prefer that they stay on the ground floor and do not sleep in the bedrooms.
In addition to the private and exclusive space of the accommodation, you can make use of the swimming pool, garden, barbecues, outdoor kitchen, and other outdoor facilities, located in a shared area with other guests.
There is also the possibility of organizing an archery session. Our property includes a leisure area with a dry-stone hut, pétanque and picnic space, as well as the first art sculptures, about 2 km away, in the middle of the forest.
You can also use the public outdoor gym, known as the “Wild Boar Gym” — due to the low human presence — which can be reached in just a few minutes.
If the wind allows it, you can play badminton, with or without a net.
The house also features an artistic ceramics workshop, which can be visited by prior arrangement.
Pets are welcome, but we prefer that they do not enter the bedrooms.
If you are looking for a cozy stay as a couple, please also check the availability of our other apartment: La Guinda de Cal Talaia.
Cal Talaia is located in the heart of Catalonia, in the magical, unique, and almost unknown region of Els Comalats, where villages have survived without commercial areas or new developments. Glorieta, the village where Cal Talaia is set, is a perfect example.
Discover towers and castles, forests and fields connected by dry-stone walls, almond and olive trees, creating a paradise for butterflies, birds, flowers, mushrooms… and for those who are willing to lose themselves in it.
The Cistercian Route, of which Glorieta is part, links three monasteries, including Poblet, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
We also recommend visiting Montblanc, Conesa, Guimerà and Forès —and many other villages, castles and Romanesque churches waiting to be discovered nearby.
Even a trip to the beach is easy: in just over half an hour you can reach Altafulla, Tamarit or Torredembarra. And if you prefer fresh water, the Glorieta River, in the Prades Mountains, offers natural pools for most of the year.
We are also close to vineyards and wineries offering wine tourism experiences.
For better or worse, there is no public transport available, apart from taxis.
We can pick you up from the train and bus stations in Montblanc and Tàrrega if you wish to arrive by public transport.
We can also pick you up from the airports of Reus and Barcelona for an additional fee; detailed information can be found in the “How to get here” page.
We may also be able to pick you up from and take you back to the train and bus stations in Tàrrega and Montblanc, depending on our availability, free of charge.
